Using VZ products to make a difference
New York Power Authority
The New York Power Authority (NYPA) is a public-benefit corporation and the largest state public power utility in the United States. In July, 2019, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced a wide-ranging series of economic development partnerships between New York State and a number of Israel-based startups, including VZ. With 16 generating facilities and more than 1,400 circuit-miles of transmission line, the New York Power Authority provides customers with low-cost, reliable electricity through an innovative energy structure. Like PepsiCo, NYPA aims for sustainability and has made clean energy a cornerstone of its business. NYPA uses VZ’s products to help reach these goals while fostering economic growth in New York State.
